Install And Configure Sabnzbd<\/strong><\/p>\n

SABnzbd is a binary newsreader which is used to download NZB files.<\/p>\n

Please note a Usenet subscription is required to download media.<\/p>\n

SABnzbd can be installed on your seedbox<\/a> through the client area at Services > Click the green Active Button > Applications.<\/p>\n

Once installed Sabnzbd can be accessed on the Installed Applications page at Services > Click the green Active Button > Installed Applications.<\/p>\n

Click the “Go to application” to access the SABnzbd wizard.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/figure>\n

First step is to choose your selected language and then click “Start Wizard”<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/figure>\n

Now you need to enter your Usenet provider details and then click next.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/figure>\n

The initial setup of SABnzbd is now complete.<\/p>\n

You can now exit the wizard and go to SABnzbd.<\/p>\n

Please note SABnzbd is installed on a custom port you cannot access SABnzbd on port 8080 you will need to access by your custom port for example nl0000.dediseedbox.com:customport<\/p>\n

Once you access SABnzbd go to the config which can be found in the top right hand corner of SABnzbd.<\/p>\n

Then go to the folders tab. so can add your folders and set the permissions.<\/p>\n

These folder settings can be set.<\/p>\n

Temporary download folder: \/downloads\/incomplete
Completed download folder: \/downloads
Permissions for completed downloads: 777<\/p>\n

Then click Save Changes<\/p>\n

Now a login needs to be set to secure SABnzbd, in the config go to the General tab.<\/p>\n

Enter a username and password and password for Sabnzbd.<\/p>\n

Change the “External internet access” setting to “Full Web Access” and click “Save Changes”<\/p>\n

Once SABnzbd restarts you can now login with the credentials you entered in the previous step.<\/p>\n

Upgrading Sabnzbd And The Certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restarting SABnzbd in the client area on the Installed Applications page will update the Sabnzbd application and renew the certificates if expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sabnzbd stores the username and password in plain text inside the sabnzbd.ini so please use a different username and password to what you have used on your other applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TroubleShooting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Occasionally users report issues with accessing Sabnzbd they are met with the error,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"External internet access denied -\u00a0https:\/\/sabnzbd.org\/access-denied\"<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can be fixed by following these steps,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.Stop Sabnzbd in the client area on the Installed Applications page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.Open the sabnzbd.ini which can be found in your \/downloads\/Apps\/Sabnzbd folder and change the inet_exposure value to 5 like this inet_exposure = 5 now save and close the sabnzbd.ini file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
