Mount a remote<\/h3>\n <p>The examples use a remote called <code>Gdrive<\/code>. Replace it with the name you gave your remote in <code>rclone config<\/code>. You can also mount a sub-folder, e.g. <code>Gdrive:\/Media<\/code> instead of <code>Gdrive:\/<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">1<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Create a folder to mount on<\/h4>\n <p>Any empty folder inside <code>\/downloads<\/code> works. The reason is in the log: <code>cat \/.cache\/rclone\/gdrive.log<\/code><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-note\">\n <div class=\"dsg-icon\">!<\/div>\n <div>\n <p>Mount inside <code>\/downloads<\/code>. If an application was already running, restart it after mounting so it picks up the new files.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-tip\">\n <div class=\"dsg-icon\">\u2192<\/div>\n <div>\n <p><strong>New files not showing up?<\/strong> <code>--dir-cache-time<\/code> controls how long folder listings are remembered. Remotes that report changes themselves (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) can use a longer cache plus <code>--poll-interval 1m<\/code>. Remotes that don’t (SFTP, FTP, WebDAV) should keep a short cache like <code>5m<\/code>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n <h3 class=\"dsg-section\">3. Mount automatically <span class=\"dsg-tag dsg-tag-rec\">Recommended<\/span><\/h3>\n <p>Remotes listed in <code>mounts.conf<\/code> are mounted every time the SSH app starts: after a restart, a server reboot or a reinstall. This file is kept when you reinstall SSH.<\/p>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">1<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Open the mounts file<\/h4>\n <p>It already contains an example to start from.<\/p>\n <div class=\"dsg-pre\"><pre><code>nano \/downloads\/Apps\/rclone\/mounts.conf<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">2<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Add one line per remote<\/h4>\n <p>Format: <code>remote:path<\/code>, the folder to mount on, then any extra rclone flags.<\/p>\n <div class=\"dsg-pre\"><pre><code># Basic\nGdrive:\/ \/downloads\/rclone-mnt\/gdrive\n\n# Or with extra flags (remove the # and the line above to use it)\n# Gdrive:\/ \/downloads\/rclone-mnt\/gdrive --dir-cache-time 1m<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n <ul>\n <li>Lines starting with <code>#<\/code> are ignored.<\/li>\n <li>Folder paths can’t contain spaces. The folder is created for you.<\/li>\n <li>The standard flags from section 2 are added automatically. Flags you add on the line override them.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>Save with <strong>Ctrl+O<\/strong>, then <strong>Enter<\/strong>, and exit with <strong>Ctrl+X<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">3<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Start the mount now<\/h4>\n <p>The file is read on the next start of the SSH app. To mount straight away without restarting, run the command from section 2 once.<\/p>\n <p>Each automatic mount logs to <code>\/.cache\/rclone\/mount-1.log<\/code>, <code>mount-2.log<\/code> and so on, numbered in the order of the lines in the file.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n <h3 class=\"dsg-section\">4. Unmount a remote<\/h3>\n <div class=\"dsg-pre\"><pre><code>fusermount3 -uz \/downloads\/rclone-mnt\/gdrive<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n <p>To stop it mounting automatically, remove or comment out its line in <code>mounts.conf<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n \n <h3 class=\"dsg-section\" id=\"dsg-reinstall\">5. Keep the backup somewhere safe and don’t share it.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n <h3 class=\"dsg-section\">6. Troubleshooting<\/h3>\n <div class=\"dsg-trouble\">\n <div><strong>“directory already mounted”<\/strong><span>Something is already mounted on that folder, usually the same remote from earlier. Check with <code>findmnt \/path<\/code>, unmount it with section 4, then mount again.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>“Transport endpoint is not connected”<\/strong><span>The mount stopped (for example after a crash). Run <code>fusermount3 -uz \/path<\/code>, then mount again. Restarting the SSH app also clears these automatically.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>“fusermount3: mount failed: Permission denied”<\/strong><span>Mount on a folder inside <code>\/downloads<\/code> that you created yourself. If it still fails there, contact support.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>Mount command returns but the folder is empty<\/strong><span>With <code>--daemon<\/code>, errors only go to the log. Check the file given in <code>--log-file<\/code>, or for automatic mounts <code>\/.cache\/rclone\/mount-N.log<\/code>.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>Plex \/ Sonarr \/ Radarr can’t see the files<\/strong><span>Make sure the mount is inside <code>\/downloads<\/code>, then restart the application.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>New files on the remote take a long time to appear<\/strong><span>Lower <code>--dir-cache-time<\/code>, or add <code>--poll-interval 1m<\/code> if your remote supports it (see the tip in section 2).<\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-tip\">\n <div class=\"dsg-icon\">\u2192<\/div>\n <div>\n <p><strong>Moving files rather than streaming them?<\/strong> <code>rclone copy<\/code> and <code>rclone sync<\/code> are faster and more reliable for bulk transfers than copying through a mount. Reinstalling SSH<\/h3>\n <p>Reinstalling gives you a fresh SSH app. This is what happens to your setup:<\/p>\n <table class=\"dsg-table\">\n <tr><th>Files in <code>\/downloads<\/code><\/th><td><span class=\"dsg-ok\">Kept<\/span>, including <code>mounts.conf<\/code><\/td><\/tr>\n <tr><th>Automatic mounts<\/th><td><span class=\"dsg-ok\">Come back<\/span> once the new install starts<\/td><\/tr>\n <tr><th>rclone config<\/th><td><span class=\"dsg-bad\">Removed<\/span>: back it up first (below)<\/td><\/tr>\n <tr><th>SSH port<\/th><td><span class=\"dsg-bad\">Changes<\/span>: check your service page<\/td><\/tr>\n <\/table>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">1<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Back up your rclone config<\/h4>\n <p>Run on your own computer before reinstalling.<\/p>\n <div class=\"dsg-pre\"><pre><code>scp -P PORT your-username@nlxxxx.dediseedbox.com:.config\/rclone\/rclone.conf rclone.conf<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-step\">\n <div class=\"dsg-num\">2<\/div>\n <div class=\"dsg-step-body\">\n <h4>Restore it after reinstalling<\/h4>\n <p>Use the <strong>new<\/strong> port from your service page.<\/p>\n <div class=\"dsg-pre\"><pre><code>scp -P NEWPORT rclone.conf your-username@nlxxxx.dediseedbox.com:.config\/rclone\/rclone.conf<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n <p>Your automatic mounts need the config, so restore it, then mount with section 2 (or restart the SSH app).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-note\">\n <div class=\"dsg-icon\">!<\/div>\n <div>\n <p>Your rclone config contains the passwords and tokens for your remotes. Keep the backup somewhere safe and don’t share it.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n <h3 class=\"dsg-section\">6. Troubleshooting<\/h3>\n <div class=\"dsg-trouble\">\n <div><strong>“directory already mounted”<\/strong><span>Something is already mounted on that folder, usually the same remote from earlier. Check with <code>findmnt \/path<\/code>, unmount it with section 4, then mount again.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>“Transport endpoint is not connected”<\/strong><span>The mount stopped (for example after a crash). Run <code>fusermount3 -uz \/path<\/code>, then mount again. Restarting the SSH app also clears these automatically.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>“fusermount3: mount failed: Permission denied”<\/strong><span>Mount on a folder inside <code>\/downloads<\/code> that you created yourself. If it still fails there, contact support.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>Mount command returns but the folder is empty<\/strong><span>With <code>--daemon<\/code>, errors only go to the log. Check the file given in <code>--log-file<\/code>, or for automatic mounts <code>\/.cache\/rclone\/mount-N.log<\/code>.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>Plex \/ Sonarr \/ Radarr can’t see the files<\/strong><span>Make sure the mount is inside <code>\/downloads<\/code>, then restart the application.<\/span><\/div>\n <div><strong>New files on the remote take a long time to appear<\/strong><span>Lower <code>--dir-cache-time<\/code>, or add <code>--poll-interval 1m<\/code> if your remote supports it (see the tip in section 2).<\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <div class=\"dsg-tip\">\n <div class=\"dsg-icon\">\u2192<\/div>\n <div>\n <p><strong>Moving files rather than streaming them?<\/strong> <code>rclone copy<\/code> and <code>rclone sync<\/code> are faster and more reliable for bulk transfers than copying through a mount.
